Compare this part of the LA river with my last painting in Vernon, entitled #31,
where the area is mostly industrial. Here in Studio City the LA river is bordered by television studio buildings and apartments while the river is still a concrete channel, but there is clearly an urban vibe. The river in both Vernon and Studio City possess a certain but distinct raw beauty for those able to take the time to appreciate it.
